Problem: Aluminum manufacturer has large equipment operating indoors to move aluminum ingots and material between locations in the forging and rolling process. The forklifts and equipment used to move these ingots leak oil and compress rubber dust from tires into a heavy buildup on the surface of the factory floor. The buildup also fills in joints in between the floor “tiles” that are intended to expand and contract with the variations of temperature.
The buildup on the floor in the factory is comprised or rubber and various kinds of oils that are used in the forging process and after treatment, as well as leakage from forklifts and other factory equipment. This causes the buildup on the surface to become slippery in most cases and even more slippery when water is applied.
The functionality of the expansion tiles is degraded when there is buildup in the joints between tiles. If the tiles cannot expand and contract horizontally, they will expand vertically. Since vertical expansion towards the subfloor is not possible, they can only expand vertically upwards and will cause multiple tiles to become dislodged from the standard formation.
Solution: Cyclone Technology offers a cleaning solution that is unmatched by any other cleaning system because of the cleaning properties in the action of the water and recovery head. Pressurized water is expelled from nozzles in the cleaning head at a 90˚ angle to the surface and at a distance of 1 inch. The recovery is accomplished by rotation of the cleaning head blades at a high rate of speed around 1800 RPM. This combination allows the pressurized water to impact the buildup and penetrate the joints between the expansion tiles. The instant recovery allows water and materials to be recovered simultaneously. The result is a cleaned surface and expansion joints that are void of buildup so they can function properly.
With the surface build up removed evenly, the result is a clean and slip-resistant surface as originally installed.
